Badass

I’m currently reading/listening(from Audible.com) to Ben Thompson’s book “Badass.” This is a very funny book about some of histories most badass people. So far I’m still on the first section called “Antiquity.” This section covers badasses from early history. People such as Alexander The Great, King Leonidas, Julius Caesar and so on. The other sections cover badasses from other historical eras. The way the book is written/read is quite funny. With the author and narator using many modern terms to describe some of the situations in the book. Also many situations are described in simplified terms. For example in the section on King Leonidas the author describes Emperor Xerxes as being a “jackass.” Also Xerxes is written to say “Lay down your weapons” with Leonidas saying “Why don’t you come get them bitch!” Many of the other situations in the book are written is this funny/simplified fashion. Overall this is a pretty funny book that covers many historical figures and situations in a simplified yet funny fashion, highly recommended.
